We are increasingly aware of how world pollution is worsening, especially in the cities and urban landscape, meanwhile the world population is increasing and humankind continues to populate the Earth, extracting, manufacturing and mobilizing products in search of 'quality of life’. The civil construction sector generates almost 40% of global GHG emissions per year, including roadworks, transportation and, above all, building the homes in which we live in.

As we are all willing to make the world a better place so that future generations enjoy a safe and healthy environment, we must be mindful of our direct impact on the environment. Thanks to the cooperation of conscious agents that made the ecological and digital revolution possible, we are transitioning to an era where sustainable construction is increasingly possible - the human impact on the environment can be less present and much more manageable.

Despite its various nomenclatures - green, sustainable, eco-friendly, ecological, passive, and many other terms - due to certain approaches, weightings, specific minimum requirements, as well as regulations, all these latter concepts share the same principles. E-construction seeks to achieve optimal living conditions with minimum energy consumption and environmental impact.

E-cological construction is an apparatus that promotes social change, more than a tool, it is a lifestyle as well as a philosophy, to manage our subsistence sustainably. This approach must be considered from the very concept: create a design with low environmental impact, aspiring to energy efficiency, savings of natural resources and maximization of its reuse. Since the choice of the implantation of our e-cohousing, we take into account the bioclimatic conditions for the best solar use, cross ventilation, as much as we must always consider the local biodiversity.

Green building is a key element for environmental education, not only for its residents, but it also sets a good example for the vicinity, positively impacting the environment - improving its integration with nature and quality of life. Valgreen eVillages has chosen precisely to build with sustainable materials - local, clean and healthy - such as CLT wood panels made from the Catalan Pyrenees’ Pinus, built-in modular profiles to optimize our constructive system by the local and specialized workforce, avoiding waste or unnecessary polluting emissions.

Our high-quality materials have long durability and require very few repairs, combined with our flexible architecture it allows us to easily rearrange their typologies over time, adapting to different lifestyles. Green technology is also a great ally for sustainable construction, thanks to our solar energy and rainwater collection systems, our e-complex generates its own energy, representing a considerable investment. Moreover, the sound and thermal natural insulations enable decreasing energy consumption since the use of heating or air conditioning are almost unnecessary.

All the materials used in our e-construction are natural, free of contamination, reusable and recyclable, favouring the health of our community and its surroundings. Sustainable construction generates multiple economic benefits for architects and other fellow professionals, as well as for those who reside and benefit from our e-community. The economic investment from trusty ethical funds will be profitable within a very short period of time, in addition, Valgreen eVillages carries socio-environmental certifications from respected associations that guarantee sustainability throughout time.

Finally, being located in a green rural environment very accessible to the urban landscape, we count on vibrant and diversified social structures, gathered in our actions towards low-impact and high-quality lifestyles. We believe in a new way of living, offering e-cohousing for a new era in which the e-cological and digital transition are valued, promoting the circular economy, the natural regeneration of the environment, health and quality of life.
